CSU has big issues.

Although I am a CU fan, as a Coloradan I also want to see CSU do well in sports and I do cheer for them. I have to say that I have seldom seen a team in such disarray as the RAMS this season.

I blame if mostly on the coaching, CSU as a MWC member is going to be at a talent disadvantage against P5 schools but what we are seeing this season goes beyond talent differential. Teams make up for talent by playing sound fundamental football, executing well and playing with intensity.

In both games CSU has lacked those characteristics. Players are not in position to make plays, when they are in position they fail to execute, and in general they seem to lack the drive to make the effort. This was demonstrated repeatedly in both games.

I hope the coaching staff can fix some of this but it is probably too late this season. The defense is beyond bad. You cannot fix talent but you can fix some of the other things.

Good luck the rest of the way.
