GM is not directly receiving subsides. The government gives discounts in the form of tax credits, but GM never touches that money.

What me and 80s are talking about are the kind of tax breaks, grants, subsidies that go directly to businesses and create unfair competition or allow businesses that should fail to stay in business. I do agree with 80s that most of that type of corporate well fair is counter productive and hurts consumers.
