I did it about 3 years ago.

I have a HD antennae for 2 TV's.
Pay 11.32/mo for netflix for the kids.
Pay $79.99/mo for comcast internet.
I have a roku stick for football season that I used (in past seasons) for sling at 19.99/mo.
This year though, our RV came with a satellite so I can pay month/month for Dish through it and then downloaded the watch ESPN, FOX and CBSsports apps on my house TV. You can sign in to each of those through DISH and watch at home. That service is $69.00/mo but I only used it for 2 months this year.

The above is not easy to watch every game you might want to, but it gives me access to most games. Besides college/pro football games, my wife and I haven't seen a broadcast tv show in 10 years. I couldn't tell you who got kicked off the island, who dances better than who or who can hold a tune over another. The commercials during sports are bad enough. I watch about 10 minutes of local news in the morning to see what the weather is going to be like, while eating breakfast. The rest of our time at home has music playing on pandora on the TV. It's liberating.

My in-laws pay over $300.00 for internet, cable and a landline. They said it's a great deal cause they bundled. I asked them when the last time they talked on their landline......all they do is get calls from scammers and charities. I think most people pay over $200/mo for the above and don't think anything of it.

The crap that is on TV is just that, CRAP. Hell, even college football is almost unwatchable as they cut to commercials at every 2 mins. And even the commercials are the same ones over and over and over and over and over.

Geezuz. After re-reading all of this post, I'm becoming that old, crotchety man! Good lord.
