Georgia had two losses and didn't win their conference
Easy decision imo. However, playoff needs to expand to 8 teams.
- 5 conference champions get automatic bids
- 2 at large bids (Notre Dame, Georgia)
- 1 top G5 team (UCF)
Or, ideally, they expand to 16 and have 10 conference championship teams get automatic bids and 6 at large teams. This makes the most sense to me. Who cares if 18-22 year old kids play a couple extra games in December. It would make college football WAY more exciting. The current format is about as boring as it could be.
