When should public good supersede your freedom over your body?

I'm not an anti-vaxer, but I do have them in my family. Until recently, it never really bothered me, one way or the other. I've had it pointed out to me that a lot of states, including Colorado, are working on or have passed laws that are designed to make it more difficult or impossible to opt out of vaccines.

I've always been a proponent for personal freedom, so find this disturbing to give the government even more control over our lives. Am I off base here?
