It's Bobby Anderson Day for the Rocky Mountain Showdown

Anderson's football accolades are well-known enough: first-team All-American, first-round pick of the Broncos, College Football Hall of Fame.
But old-timers who saw him play said he might have had a shot at being a major-league baseball player if he had devoted more time to the sport. Anderson was a catcher on the 1967 Boulder Collegians semi-pro team that won the national championship in the National Baseball Congress in Wichita. I am told he hit one of his home runs into the swimming pool beyond the right-field fence at Scott Carpenter Field in Boulder. If you've been there, you understand how prodigious that is.
