But people probably always think that time at their youthful peak was pretty good for stuff like music.
I liked a lot of different types of music from then and still do, but probably fall on the stereotypical grunge and gangsta rap of the time as my favorites, as was talked about in the story. Pearl Jam is still my No. 1 favorite (saw them four times last summer!). But I liked a lot of the music brought up in this story and thread (kind of 94-95 time), and Hootie never did a damn thing for me.
As others have said, there were a lot of Hootie type bands then and I liked all of them better! And despite the stereotypical what I liked at the time, I think how popular it was actually turned me off even more.
Honestly, I can respect that it was a good record and they deserve what they did get and it's awesome they've for the most part stuck together all this time. Just never got it I guess.
