Saw that over the weekend..lol I played every position through the years.

On my youth teams I was always the third string, 'disaster' GK, which kinda sucked as I had to do all the GK drills along with the field training. It did a cool job of cross training me though. Seeing the game from the GK spot is a great learning tool. I mostly played mid-field, I used to have good endurance and enough athleticism to go end to end. Funny thing, in my thirties I played with the Breck amateur traveling team. We were one of the best in the state. I had to play goalie three times. My record, 2 wins, 1 tie. In one of the wins I started and played the first 80 minutes, but then one of our workhorse midfielders just ran out of gas. We switched it up. We were losing 3-2 at that point. I then proceeded to assist on the tieing goal and scored the winner in extra time on a corner kick. Woot!!! I also let in a goal right through my arms, that kinda demoralized the team. It was really hot in Denver that day. I was glad to make up for it. The beer tasted like wine after that one!
