Both parties advocate extreme very early in the political season.

As the contestants are weeded out, usually starting at the extremes, both tend (emphasis on tend) to move closer to the milled left and middle right. But that doesn't happen all the time and is not shaping up to do it this time. Also, since Warren and maybe even Bernie will end up being among the last 3 - 4 standing moving closer to the end of the primary season and they will not likely to be in the lead (but maybe Warren will be) the D's could take firm aim on shooting a foot off. But Warren is doing a good job of selling her ideas and if she can the country could take a significant move left. At least it won't be a significant move right which, IMO, is scarier than the other.
