4 years into a program and no whisper of a division title is not "good."
Making a bowl game with 6 or 7 wins is San Jose-esque. That is certainly a goal for the bottom feeders, but shouldn't be for a team paying a coach so much and with top tier facilities.
In speaking with 30 year coach in Denver Metro this weekend (Heritage, Cherry Creek, Bear Creek, Arapahoe & Littleton) I was told that Bobo has no respect in the Denver area. He doesn't recruit or reach out to the CO kids. This has been problematic for unsuccessful coaches in our program. In terms of watching the on field product the sentiment is that CO coaches aren't very impressed with CSU's game day performances by the players or coaches. Ya think? . Add them to the Nabob list Ramdom. It isn't shrinking as much as it is complacency.
Will this ruin the fun of attending a few game days in the Fort for me? Probably not, but for my swagger, cheer and bragging rights I'm headed back to my Husker roots this year to watch a program on the rise. That said, even the mighty Nebraska has had a long slump for 15-20 years and so there is still hope that CSU will get it right in a few years. Problem is that CSU really needs to get it right very soon for future viability of the program jumping into the revenue river. That window is quickly closing.
