Nuggets thread!

MPJ is THE news this morning, but I personally think the bigger story is Jerami Grant.

Grant on paper helps the team on both D and 3s. Yesterday, looked great from the start and is game readyof course, it is preseason, so not worth over-analyzing at this juncture.

MPJ question will be if he can stay healthy this whole season. A bit lost on how to handle the situational sets that come up on O, so its going to be a gradual progression. Ideally, he can be a factor in Q2 and Q3 as the season unfolds and when DN had a tendency to lose big leads. They have really helped themselves on the bench and on paper, have a better means on how to keep big leads and finish games early (hopefully).

Jokic didn't play yesterday and I'm good with very limited minutes in the preseason - he's game ready after the tourney this Summer.

Jamal needs to get off to a better start than the last 3 years - Malone is pushing him big time about this and using the contract signed to light a fire.

Malone's emphasis is perfect for this season - how they need to play every quarter if they want to make a championship run. First 20 will be huge for DN just like last year to finish in the 1-2 spot.

My prediction is the Lakers will be very tough as the season progresses due to the athleticism advantage they have now. Clippers will be tough - Doc is a great coach and Kawhi is a dream player to have. And Houston is a big x-factor that has the talent to win it all, but also has a mediocre coach and a head case in Russ. We'll see how that works out as Russ likes touches and so does Harden.

This may be the best DN roster in the over 35 years I've followed the franchise. Deepest ever for sure. The keys are no "long" injuries to Jokic or Murray, and a strong start IMHO.

Thoughts?
