Not after a score and then right away after the kickoff.

It used to happen all the time in the NFL but people complained about a TV timeout, one play, TV time out so they stopped. It's never been a regular occurrence in college

The massive amounts of TV timeouts in college football are well documented. That scenario isn't common, though. It happened last night because at that point the teams had held the ball so long that they weren't able to squeeze in their normal allotment of timeouts, so they did it like that.

When they have to do something like that you know they are out of control with TV timeouts. That's my point.
