Getting Meyer involved isn't inherently a bad thing. Don't see how it could be; his success speaks for itself. Lots of programs would be happy to have Urban Meyer help select a new coach.
However, having Meyer come in, and then hiring SA seems kinda sketchy. UM already has a reputation for being overly loyal to his guys (Tim Beck anyone?). If SA were a hot commodity, nobody would be complaining. But he wasn't.
All that said, winning cures all. If SA is successful, bringing Urban in will be seen as a great thing.
