Basketball has improved their ticket policies immensely over time

There was a time all ticket prices were the same, which made zero sense, and then times where even when they changed prices they were still pretty crazy in certain sections.

I used to have season tickets fairly high but right at center court. my row was generally pretty empty other than a few other season ticket holders as well as the row in front of me. Another time we had this conversation I looked at tickets around me for single game and they were something like $50. For the New Mexico game nothing is more than $30 anywhere in the arena, even some seats still available for below the rail. That's not bad at all for what should be a good game.

Now the corners are $14. That's pretty good too. But I would take it a step further and I don't think it would devalue season tickets. I would take upper corners and make them even less. Maybe $10 or even $5. My thought is this, no one is sitting in the corners anyway right now. Get them in cheap, hopefully it makes them want to come back and maybe upgrade. The seats are significantly worse than season ticket areas anyway.

As a season ticket holder I'd much rather the seats full. Honestly, the price per game as a season ticket holder is going to beat most of the discounted seats anyway, and again, most of the season ticket seats are better. If people wanted to just buy the games they wanted and sit in the worse seats at the best price, so be it. That's not a lot different than many other teams and sports.

And if you look at the New Mexico availability right now, it's pretty freaking bad. Ticket prices aren't necessarily the issue right now, so obviously demand isn't there. Still would like CSU marketing to step up more and figure out ways to get people to this games. A couple of mini plan offers where there is little more than word of mouth and a couple of deal games over break don't cut it.
