Even when they were decent. There is not a less informed sports media than Denver. They only know the broncos and actually don’t even know much about the rest of the NFL.
They give CU love when CU wins because at least they play big name teams so the hacks in the media might be able to actually google some information to not look completely lost.
CSU and DU means they have to work to talk about their opponents and leagues and they aren’t going to do that.
I’ve lived here a long tome but came from bigger cities with real news outlets. I always though when we went from backwoods cow town to a real city we would get better. Not at all. It’s almost as if they revel in being small time.
If CSU wins enough to make the NIt they will mention it but that’s about it. If CU goes into a swoon we will disappear too since there must be something to talk about on the Broncos like what size shirt the back up long snapper wears.
You basically have to count on national media to learn anything about sports if you live in Colorado unfortunately
