I think there still is a thought also that covid could act seasonal

In the mid-latitude northern hemisphere. With less virus transmission this summer and then a 2nd run as it Cools off in the fall (and spread more in dryer climates). The potential seasonality of covid is still being debated but could possibly be a factor.
