I think CSU (along with its AD) will suffer financially because CSU

Gave undocumented students $1500 each because they do not qualify for the Stimulus check (CARES ACT) Or other financial assistance from CSU with the school closed down. This give-away impacted about 400 students, including 218 undocumented Coloradoans who already qualify for tuition breaks via the ASSET bill. Attached article gives details.
CSU’s logic seems absurd in the face of budget cuts, lay-offs, pay reductions. Further the CARES ACT was for $1200 Maximum and likely $500 for Dependents, $300 less than what CSU gave undocumented students in unsolicited financial aid. Additionally, CSU probably has other significant unfounded liabilities in fee reimbursements if the current lawsuit is successful. If CSU can afford to make $600k in payments to undocumented students, why is it not doing the same for documented students (both in-state and out of state)? The documented students seem to have a claim to at least $300 each as that is the difference between the CARES Act maximum amount and the CSU assistance.
Dumb dumb dumb decision that will likely haunt CSU academics and athletic contributions.
