Second worst possible way to go IMO. The worst would be to just cancel.


Starting a season in January has a lot of disadvantages. The weather is the obvious one. Secondly, if we do see a second wave, we'll be right in the heart of it at the time. Third, it could be a big loss in dollars if the games aren't televised. There would be some facility conflicts, but there would definitely be some huge TV conflicts. I don't think there's enough airtime available to play CFB and have March Madness at the same time. If they absolutely have to reschedule, I'd prefer the model of starting a month early although that would be murder in the SEC.

Finally, we require exactly a 100 day notice prior to the RMS in order for the BuffsIn2020 countdown to move forward.
