It’s Phillip Lindsay Day for the Rocky Mountain Showdown

#98 Colorado Classic

Colorado connections: Born and raised in Denver, and graduated from Denver South High School.

Accomplishments: A three-star recruit before getting hurt, Lindsay took the hard way to success, blowing out his knee as a senior in high school and then redshirting while continuing to rehab at CU. He then rushed for 391 yards as a redshirt freshman, 658 as a sophomore, 1,252 as a junior during "The Rise" and 1,474 as a senior while also becoming a good receiver out of the backfield. "Too small" for the NFL, he went undrafted ... and then not only made the Broncos as a free agent, he was selected to play in the Pro Bowl as a rookie. He rushed for 1,037 yards as an NFL rookie and 1,011 more in 2019, while catching 35 passes in each season. Lindsay comes from quite a family of offensive skill players. His father, Troy, played for CSU in the early 1980s, totaling 932 yards rushing. Phillip's uncle Tony Lindsay rushed for 2,994 yards in four seasons at Utah. Phillip's cousin Gabe Lindsay caught 71 passes for 706 yards in four seasons at Oklahoma State. And Phillip's cousin Tony Lindsay Jr. was a quarterback at Oklahoma State, throwing for 4,002 yards and 24 touchdowns in four seasons.

On deck: Move over, Curley.
