No the Arizona schools weren't in any of our conferences until the WAC

After the Colorado Football Association (1890-1908) folded into the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference that included all the Colorado and Utah schools and Wyoming (1909-1937). Then the Skyline conference was formed in 1938 that included CU, CSU, Wyoming, USU, BYU, and Utah and would later add New Mexico and Montana in 1951.

Arizona and Arizona state originally started in the Border Conference which included Northern Arizona, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Texas Tech, and Utep from 1931-1962.

The WAC was formed in 1962 that included the Arizona schools, BYU, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming. CSU and Utep weren't added until 1968.
