It's possibly systematic of the end of American FB as we knew it.

It's a dinosaur...we are living through the final stages...People have laughed at me for saying 20 years from now, Cfb will be vastly different. I think only the P5/* will be left and then a bushel of the smaller schools will continue to have FB programs. Now maybe my timeframe is off, but not by much is my guess. We lived through the golden age, and it's on it's decline. Soccer will defenetily be a major player moving forward. Colleges will have to abandon sports programs, then maybe re-build them, but it will look and feel different. The game of FB is so tough physically, amount of participation..etc that it's too heavy to pull it's load in the future..I envision rugby..except, as we've seen, some strange hybrid of the game we once loved.
