I think the argument is that there is a very high probability that we

will have a vaccine by the first of the year. Whether you think we will or not, that's the argument.

I agree with your point that the biggest risk is liability/PR for an athletic department, as opposed to any serious dangers for the athletes. But, AD's and Presidents do have to look at all the angles before they make a decision. I do think we can play fall ball, but it's going to take a declaration by all of the P5 conferences that they are going to play, even if it's modified like the P12 and B10. I think at that point the G5's will follow suit. California will be the key in this. If their government shuts down FB at the public universities (and I'm hearing no indication that they plan on it, they just have more teams and therefore more impact) it'll hammer the P12 and other states may follow suit.
