I really get your concern. So far the results of all of the trials have

been very public. I don't think anyone is going to get away with pushing through approval on something that is known (highly possible) to be unsafe. Put it this way. Stage two has proven the vaccines in stage 3 to be safe, in the short term. By the time stage 3 is over, we'll know a lot more about the stage two participants. I think the acceleration of the process is working really well, but realize that we won't have data for at least a year on how the vaccine affects people in the longer term. I don't think we can wait a year on this. Even if it has to be conditionally approved as not for use in certain populations (heart disease, under or over a certain age, etc.). It may not ever be a magic bullet, but if it's any sort of bullet that can get kids back to school, adults off unemployment, etc., we need it.
