I have now. Again, my point was not necessarily to argue against opening

schools, at least in some form. It was to point out the weakness of an argument based solely on mortality rate of school-aged children. It is a complex problem and boiling it down to a one-line argument - while typical - is neither logical nor effective IMO. This is now the go-to on social media platforms...take a complex social issue with highly dynamic variables and try to make it so simple that it can be rationalized in a snarky meme or post.

The CDC site seems to address the questions I raised, although the main arguments in the Conclusions section for opening seem to be based around things other than safety.

In general I like PSD's approach that they announced today. It's somewhat complex but, again, it is a complex problem and simple solutions don't always work to address complex problems. It is sort of a "crawl-walk-run" approach which makes sense to me and will both allow a partial return to school while proving out the precautions.
