Local journalism exists to hold people accountable

That's what the Coloradoan did, and CSU had to answer for mistakes. Obviously there were people that were upset with their treatment at CSU, and the Coloradoan told their story. The school and this report show there were issues. I'm glad they weren't major, but also glad CSU is working to correct this and is on alert people are looking.

Maybe if the Coloradoan had broken the story on LE in 2014 we would have canned his ass five years prior for being a world class a-hole. Instead it cost us way more than $1.5 million and killed support for a program. Instead, CSU sat on it and didn't do what it needed to do. This situation could have festered for years, instead now it's out in the open and being dealt with transparently. We aren't perfect, but we are trying. That's worth more than $1.5 mill as well.
