Won't return as normal if drought conditions like this persist much longer.

And these conditons probably will persist for quite some time. Hope I am wrong, especially for my children's sake. I'll be long gone before these forests come back.

On the other hand our family took a trip up to Yellowstone about 3 years after the massive fires up there 20 or so years ago and the new growrth was amazing to see and most welcome to see.
