I have heard it takes quite a bit more than that. If CSU were already
preparing for an away game, you could assume that the equipment folks would already be packing the truck. Uniforms, medical, coms, etc. I don't know exactly what all is involved, but I suspect that's part of it. TV? Would they have been ready? I realize that CU had a televised game scheduled, but I wonder how much prep a network needs to switch opponents for coverage purposes. It seems like I'm making excuses and pointing out some pretty insignificant details, and maybe that's the case, but I'm sure there's a lot more prep behind the scenes than just getting on a bus. I know both coaches wanted to play a game, I'm sure there had to be some necessary coordination and logistics that got in the way.
I'd suspect that Addazio didn't want the short week, but he stated that he really wanted a football game this weekend. Who knows?
