This is a really great breakdown

We want Boise to sweep Utah St because that’ll give Utah St a 4th loss. It’s highly unlikely Boise can sweep SDSU on the road, so Boise should get a 4th loss there. That gives the Rams the opportunity to control their own destiny bc even if SDSU sweeps Boise, we’d have the tiebreaker vs Utah St as you mentioned, and win the #1 seed and the MWC regular season title.

A lot will also depend on if we reschedule w Nevada or UNM. It sounds very likely we will reschedule one of those series but not both.
