Read an article over the weekend with completely effed up logic.
Writer's goal was to say that inflation is not a threat. He claims that for the past 30-40 years, the FED has dwelled too much on inflation risk. His proof that we don't have to worry about inflation? It hasn't been a problem for 30-40 years. It was in the newspaper on Saturday. I'll see if I can find it and link it.
Am I saying that out-of-control inflation is definitely going to occur? No. Energy prices are probably not going to skyrocket, and productivity is always improving. But, with the US Gov and other world govs pumping cash at the expense of huge amounts of debt, and with Central Bank interest rates at or below zero, it is a real risk that is not to be discounted like so many liberal economists seem want to do in hopes of justifying more and more debt.
