I know a (very) little about them. I have a grandson (7th grader) that just tried out for the league (along with 120 other guys - I don’t know what the actual age bracket was, I’m sure there are multiple brackets). If he gets on a team they will practice twice a week (late April to June) with weekend tournaments. Then the process (try-outs, team selection, practices and tournaments), starts again in August. His goal is to make the high school team when he is of age. I know soccer in MN is similar, so probably all the sports have the same basic high school feeder systems. Sounds to me like the majority of funding comes from the parents (at least at his age/skill level).
