It's basically fact, and the results of the other series I sited prove it.

A one-off game in a sport with such high variance is by definition way less predictable and a barometer with flaws.

I see what you're saying though, Baylor certainly could also win a series w/ Gonzaga.

The best indicator of the better team is almost always in the betting line. Those guys don't miss anything, especially in such a large market. Who wins is another story, but oddsmakers are spot on way more than they miss and privy to information we wish we had.

The beauty, of course, is that they have to play the game and even though the Zags were considered a stronger team, Baylor beat their ass and it was much deserved.
