We're going into year 5 with a new 40,000 +seat stadium. The trends we have

seen over the last 3 pre-pandemic seasons are also reality. If you're at all concerned about the long-term impacts on the program it's probably best to at least acknowledge there are difficult issues and downsides to going down this road.

1. Night games at CSU are not as well attended as day games - reality. Check the attendance figures.
2. Late game starts result in more fans leaving early - reality. Anybody who has sat in Canvas Stadium for a night game has witnessed this.
3. TV contracts are dictating kick-off times - reality. I'm sure if CSU had their druthers they would select game times that attract larger numbers of fans.
4. 4 of the 6 home games scheduled so far this season are night games. A 5 pm. kick-off in late October or November is a night game - reality.
5. Game schedules impact ticket sales - reality.
6. The more fans you have in seats the bigger your home field advantage - reality.
7. Marquee early season match-ups at home (if you can call Vandy one) are few and far between - reality. What is more beneficial long-term for the program? More fans in seats or national exposure.

Don't get upset because some Ram fans are raising these questions. I'll be there for those games, but I know other fans won't be for a host of reasons. This is a dilemma for CSU and many programs in the West. I don't have an answer and have no idea what the log-term impacts will be. But there will be impacts.
