The issue though is that Big12 owns their grant of rights through the 2025 season. Essentially meaning that revenues they make from going to the SEC would go to the Big12 not the SEC which makes the pie significantly smaller for the SEC. Because of this the SEC would not be willing to make this move until 2026. Right now OU and UT are gauging interest but nothing could happen in the next few years. The schools might be talking but it would be a while before anything concrete can even happen, and of course chances are that UT won't do anything if they don't get a lot of control. That won't happen in the SEC so I would say this move is highly unlikely.
