I think we may be on the same page


I'm just saying that extra 26 minutes is more a result of offenses these days running more plays and throwing the ball WAY more often, resulting in clock stoppages due to incomplete passes, first downs and ultimately more scoring. In the past 20 years, the average number of plays has increased by 32 plays! The vast majority of those being passing plays. The style of play is the biggest issue imo. Followed by ridiculous amounts of reviewed plays.
