Maybe - our OL had a really bad game, couldn't run the ball.

The OL hasn't been dominant or even played well consistently in years. The fact the current staff brought in several OL transfers should have been a sign that there is an immediate problem up front. We also have not had an effective defense in a while, we lost a lot in the defensive backfield - maybe for good reason, who knows. I know this DL excites a lot of people, but most of those guys have been here a while and we have not won with them. I think Heater is a decent DC, but they ran the ball down our throats. Getting run on like that is a systemic problem...talent, scheme....all of it.

Biggest red flag on this team is lack of offensive weapons. Aside from Trey and Dante, other unproven players need to step up. I actually think Centeio did ok, not great, but I don't think his play was the problem.

Bottom line, coaching changes cause more disruption and adjustment than people think. I don't think you can judge much on last year, we only played 4 games, every team was off balance due to COVID, kids (freshman) that had no business being ready to play were playing. Addazio is trying to change the culture to his culture, like it or not, I think it will take a few years. Not sure our small fanbase has the patience, but I think he will be here at least 4 seasons - that precedent has already been set. I still think we will win a few games this season, but I wasn't surprised we got rolled - the signs were there.
