Something to be said for OL speed.....


If you look at effective linemen these days the agility required and ability to move quick, pull, set, etc. is primary. Our bigger "senior and graduate" guys might have seen their better days athletically. Many have already had injuries or surgeries. If you look at the players waiting in the wings they seem to fit a more consistent mold of both athleticism, explosiveness and flexibility......about 6'4ish 300ish. Another thing is play study and intelligence. I wouldn't want a guy on my line that couldn't maintain at least a 3.0. It's not the position for slow learners.
