1 vs Vandy where a OG pulls to waddle down the o-line to deliver what should be a block with lots of momentum... instead the DT or DE waits in his gap and knocks our fat boy literally to his knees, where our fat boy ends up plugging the prime hole for our RB. Needless to say that run went nowhere.
2nd vs SDSU where our left guard pulls out to the left on a rollout pass protection, problem is it is a dropback. Needless to say it was a sack.
Both showing a lack of power quickness and agility...and the confusion that continues to reign when our online coach starts swapping positions and substituting players in PRACTICE & GAMES. It is damned hard enough to learn & remember what to do against a good defense when you are focused on one single position.. much less multiple positions, with fellow players who are constantly switching, who get confused and who may not be physically able to beat their guys consistently.
It's called maximizing your OL talent, while minimizing your o-line confusion.
