I must be a self-hating east coast transplant. I've been in Colorado 32 yrs

and there is nothing on earth that could compel me to return to the NE for more than a short visit. Hiring a coach from my old neck of the woods just rubs me wrong. The culture is just so different compared to the West. It's more competitive (not talking about football either), superficial, materialistic, cutthroat, and abrasive. If you spend any time in Colorado and return to visit you notice it immediately. I don't know Steve Adazzio so I am definitely painting with a broad brush based on my own experience as a HS recruit in the 80's in NJ/Pennsylvania area. In NJ, NY, Pennsylvania, Mass, Connecticut, "toxic masculinity" (a phrase I learned recently, lol) describes the sports culture I was part of. I'm probably still more "toxic" than most and I'm not sure it's even a problem (although my sons may disagree). But I believe we have a better way of doing life here in Colorado. The east coast transplants will understand what I mean. IDK.
