Can you believe there's a State Championship now? We won State in BB in 2017.

I had cousins in town from NoCal to play in the 2A FB Championship last month: Catholic Central (Modesto) -vs- Mater Dei (Chula Vista)

My cousin used to be a full-time FB coach in Modesto (played Center at St Mary's before they shit canned FB), however now he's the Asst Superintendent of the public schools. He helps out on the sidelines for Catholic Central now that his son plays there. He gave me a brief run-down of the new system at the Dave & Busters in Orange a few hrs before the Open Championship: Mater Dei (Santa Ana) vs Serra (San Mateo). Their team bus from Modesto got sideswiped by a semi-truck near Fresno & they had to wait for hrs on the side of CA-99 for a replacement bus on their way to Mission Viejo. Meanwhile Tom Brady chartered a plane out of Oakland to get his Alma Mater, J Serra HS to John Wayne Airport for their game vs Mater Dei.

Oh how times & the CIF have changed. It's offical...we're OLD!!!
