No thank you!

A mini tournament that has very little chance of enhancing a teams shot at NCAA tourney seeding, but carries a decent probability of dashing some hopes? No "annointed 6" participation? So, it's a made for TV kid's table event that highlights the created perception between the haves and have nots. On the surface it sounds like a nice prequalifier to help settle the tourney field, but if the entitled conferences don't participate it doesn't help the MWC, AAC, etc. It can only hurt them. There is zero upside for the MWC to participate in this.

Think all the way back to '22. Why would a high NET CSU get into a deal where they could slip up and get knocked back from a tourney seeding, and Michigan not have to do the same? It's one thing to lose in the dance, it's another to not make the dance while less qualified teams get there based on conference affiliation.

Dumb idea. I hope we avoid it like the plague.
