Illinois State guard Josiah Strong has CSU in his final 5

Along with Oklahoma, Wake Forest, California, and Illinois State (so he may just return).

6'4" guard. Averaged 11.5 points each of the past two seasons at Illinois State (MVC), after starting his career at Navy in 2018-19.

Averaged 3.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists (2.7 in the previous season), and 1.0 steals this season.

His strength on paper (and from the highlights) is definitely as a three-point shooter. Shot 40.9% on threes this season while averaging 6.3 attempts/game. That percentage led the MVC. And it's actually a higher percentage than his field goal% of 40.4 (he shot 39.5% on 2s, after shooting 45.7% on 2s at higher volume the previous season).

He appears to be a solid defender, and with good length to likely be able to handle small forwards in certain lineups too. With his shooting, length, and rebounding from the guard position, it's an add that would make sense for us. He has one year of eligibility remaining. So, it would be a Chandler Jacobs-esque situation in many ways.
