Actually... I don't think NCAA football and the PAC12 care about academics

if they did this NIL and transfer portal would not have been easily implemented.

Using that term about academic prowess has shown that we as fans are naive to the real motivator for expansion in this new age of football. It is about the coin that they bring to the table... not the brains.

In other words... If Boise brings the biggest amount of income to the PAC 12 than any of the other Non P5 schools.. then Boise would be asked to join. Boise joining the PAC is not going to hurt USC, Stanford, or UCLA's academic reputation... but they would bring money to the conference and the schools.
