Shale drilling is highly price sensitive.
graph rig count over oil price shows rig counts high correlates with high WTI price, and drops accordingly. Politicians control access to drill on public lands and permit/regulate drilling everywhere, not oil price, we should both agree on this.
I completely agree with the conclusion about not snapping fingers and controlling oil prices. You also can't snap fingers and control rig counts which you attribute to tRump! Also spinning off on tangents like LEDs and toilets de-emphasises the valid industry fact discussion, imo. I seriously dont recall anyone ever complaining about a trump war on LED or lauding a Obama/Biden LED-gasm.
