Like you get so often now a days in college football-- either you fire some guys or you're gone. Somebody's got to take the blame when the Team isn't meeting expectations. And maybe Stoops fired the wrong guy, because he was gone two years later. (One year of having a couple big time five star recruits not pan out, and another guy get injured does not a failure make. And he wasn't really involved with quarterbacks at this time. Quarterback plays a pretty big role in receiver production.) Sometimes you got to be the Fall Guy, and a journalist has to go looking for reasons.
