B12 will invite CSU over UCB objections... Denver & Colo is too large
of a growth market that includes about 1/2 CSU fans.... PLUS the most b12 fans like KSU, KU, TTech, ISU, OkSU, and even Neb & OU or UT fans who still like to watch B12 games when nearby or convenient.
As you stated, hated rivals are key to FORMING great conferences... and CSU is UCB's most hated fan-base/school (and visa-versa)..
Yep,,, the B12... which is also the conference w/ the best TV deals over the past 6 yrs (and yes the losses of USC/UCLA & OU/UT will devalue each conferences TV deals), plus the New B12 Conference will gain the huge Houston, Orlando & BYU's eyeballs which will mitigate mucho of the decrease for the NewB12. Not so for the P10 who will suffer faarrrr more decrease due to the known Devaluation & Risks associated w/ any probable P10 adds.
Which is also the conference soon to have a huge pile of Cash ($50M or more) by 2024 or '23, and the B12 conference which has not racked up Millions in debt today.
Which is the conference that will have former hated rivals like BYU, maybe UU... as well as former conference-mate TCU.
Which is the conference that will offer the largest volume of drive-able (and most interesting) away games to both CSU & UCB fans (BYU, KSU, KU, TT, ISU, and likely UU).
Which is the conference that will have more Ag schools in it... being the most similar culture to CSU.
The best option for UCB & CSU is clearly the get in the same conference, that being the B12.
I hope this happens asap so the competitive hatred can begin flowing immediately (between UCB, BYU & UU)!!! As well as between BYU & UU -- the Holy War.
So -- UCB/CSU, UA/ASU, BYU/UU, KU/KSU/ISU, Bay/TT/TCU/UHou, WVa/Cincy/UCF... possibly UW/WSU, UO/OSU.
