From what I am reading on the Internet.

Take it with a grain of salt. Both Big-12 and PAC-12 want another P5 team if not the Big-12 is bigger on wins while the PAC-12 is more on culture fit. CSU has a better shot at a cultural fit due to low performance in football. The Big-12 believes if they keep winning they can compete with the SEC and Big Ten.
