Not just HS...my kid started working at Fun City in Estes Park last year at

the age of 14. They can't get enough help locally so they shuttle kids from Fort Collins up there daily. Despite the labor shortage, most places in FC are still sticking to the age 16 requirement but Fun City has no problem leaving your personal safety on the go karts up to a 14-year-old ;)

Only down side is they can't make kids under 16 work more than 8 hrs/day but they have to cover 10-12 hrs of the day so for 2-4 hrs/day my kid wanders around Estes spending half the money he makes on ice cream or Subway, and he is gone all day but only gets paid for 8 hrs. Whatever, it is a good experience and gives him some independence in a place where he can't get into too much trouble (so far, at least). Also just appreciate that he is working & has some responsibility.
