When I raced I was a decent climber. I had 2 goals. Win Mr. Evans and or go sub 2 hours on it. Never managed either but was about as close as you could get to both. We did another hill climb going up Magnolia road and eventually ending at the Eldora ski area. I was not on my best form one year and while slogging it up the steeps of Magnolia here comes Jeanne Longo just crushing it. You either have the legs, in Jeanne’s case the legs plus a good doping program, or you don’t.
