This quote in the Coloradoan kind of sticks out for a few reasons

“But I told the team at the end of this thing, I’m proud to have coached them. They’re great kids, and they’re a great team and they like each other, and they need to stick together, because I think their best years and efforts are to come.”

One, I think it is clear this team likes each other. They seem to have a lot of fun on the court and bench. Yet it hasn't translated into cohesive play. It is interesting that he pointed it out, that they like each other at least.

Then, I don't know if the stick together comment is a reflection of current college athletics and trying to keep them together regardless of coach, or if it means there is an idea who may be leading.

The fear I have with a total change in leadership is it is going to result in a total rebuild with current transfer rules and everything else. Keep the core of this group, many of whom will be seniors next year, add a few pieces and it will at least be a MW contender.
