Kyan Evans - freshmen who provides depth at the PG position. Praised for his high IQ and was Missouri’s Gatorade POY. Also won the state championship and won an AAU title game. He’s a winner.

Rashaan Mbemba - freshmen who provides depth in the front court and mirrors Roddy’s play. He comes in with professional playing experience in Austria and already has a jump shot and can shoot the 3. He can open up the paint for Cartier when needed so he can go 1v1 and create matchup issues for the opponent.

Joel Scott - PF who was the DII POY. Will likely start next to Cartier and is going to provide muscle and beef under he rim. Expect him to help our rebounding issues big time. He can also shoot the 3 like Mbemba, so will pair along nicely with Cartier. Colorado native - gotta love that. Only knock on him is we’ll only have him one year.

Nique Clifford - former 4 star recruit who brings in great depth at the 3 spot and gives us length at an important position on the team. Started 50 games for the Buffs the past two seasons. Great defender and let’s hope he gets his shooting touch back. Also a Colorado native and has 2 years left to play.

Javonte Johnson - friends of Nique and also provides great length for this team. Started 61 games the past two seasons for the Lobos and is also a good defender. Also a Colorado native and has 2 years left to play.


This team just got SO MUCH better. No knock on the guys we lost, but this is an upgrade for every scholarship spot except Tonje. Now if Stevens returns we are in the mix for the conference again. If he doesn’t we’ll still be good, but would worry about that leadership piece missing.
